THIS IS MY YEARR!!

According to an advertisment from Studio 23 "Make this year... your year!" and It did coz you know what 2005 really rocked my world in so many ways possible from the ups to the downs from the dark and bright you name it... it happened!

January
Haay! My Sinulog was not a solo act anymore becuase I walked under the heat of the sun from Fuente Osmena and back with my Family. Watched a Capoeira Show, My first non-itchy henna tatoo(which is an element- Recca!), And not to mention freebies!

February

- The Red Letter Day was such an ordinary day until Dong Karyo came in! No its not actually Dong Karyo, Its the Dong Karyo Inter-skit Competition which the USC Theatre Guild (Yep that's us!) Won the 1st prize even though its our first time! Our Entry which entitled "Hagit" was directed by Ofelia Ancajas and Written/Stage Managed by Loyd Sato (a "lethal" combination...for success!). I personally felt the power of unity and passion among the peeps in TG as well as a big accomplishment for me connecting new org. and I meet a new friend in the name of Ms. Rudynah Entera.

Another wonderful event was that Ate Shaula got married to her long time bf kuya Jeff plus not to mention the blessing the bahay and it happened in a day whew!

March

I got a blast at SM where in there was an audition for MTV next VJ which only happens twice a month. With much confindence and guts I was so happy to be in the 2nd place in the TOP 10 Selected VJ's in Cebu... well too bad I didn't make it in manila but hell! I'm happy.

Another greatt thing that happened to me was I got MARRIED! Yes I got Married um well in the internet that is! hheehehe actually Level Up! (Ragnarok Online) launched their 5th installment of the game which entitled "Amatsu and Kunlun: the tale of two cities". There was a game there that we have to do 4 task in order to win some goodies. Unfortunately, the game also required a partner, since I'm alone I immediately snatch a girl who is crazy enough (like me) to join the game. Our first task was to know each other and a series of questions shall be asked and if we answer them right we'll proceed to the next task. Next was for my partner do a sing "Rock the Boat" while I'm dancing in to it. After that tiring (yet fun!) task was a big shocker... WE HAVE TO GET MARRIED! In order to do that we have to kidnap two people who will serve as a witness to our marraige as well as wear a wedding outfit and take our pic as an evidence that we got married. Finally, after that blushing moment hehehe we got our fortune told.... what lies ahead now that we're a couple. After all the task has been made we we're declare the 1st Ragna Couple to got married at Ayala Center Cebu kewl diba! I brought home some goodies.

My day wasn't over yet! I did the most daring thing I ever done in my life (exag!) I joined the Ragna CosPlay Contest! I wore the Bakulaw costume and painted myself put some colored paint in a mineral water bottle that looks like a potion and whala! I'm an Alchemist! Though I didnt won the contest because there is only 3 of us, we all took home another goody bag and 2000 pesos kewl! di ba!

Final Exam Saturday! the last day to end the 2nd semester. Sunsilk promoted the Mirror Mirror on the Bus! again at Ayala so before I miss anything I immediately passed my papers and head my way to Ayala to have a make over in my hair. I also texted Diana, classmate of mine to join the fun and taught her some of my tricks and stuff to be gutsy and have fun. I convinced her to join the Sunsilk Promo where in you have to make state ur story about some bad hair day until sunsilk came into her/his life and guess what she is got invited in the top 10 women all over the Philippines in chance of winning 1 million pesos! kewl! di ba?!

Let's not forget about TG! As the probees are now members after their hardwork, sweat, tears and (blood?! hehe) courage they DID IT! Congrats Peeps!

March also means my birthday Oh well! Another number 1 is added in the number 20. I celebrated my bday actually with myself but before my bday, I treated the TG peeps with some burger steak from Jollibee! Ang saya di ba! Happy Birthday Gar!

April

- Summa Time means back to books! Yep! for me to advance in my course I have to take Summer Classes its actually a tough summer since you have to take two hours per subject everyday but amidst all that I meet new friends, discoveries and being an INQUESTOR! Get intrigued, baffled and be a detective yep! Philippine Daily Inquirer Launched a reality based multi-media game last March which is entitled: "Inquest: The Mystery Game Adventure"!! It all started when Jerson Morales who was killed in the Purple Pear Bar in Makati last March and 6 people are suspected, my job is to track down the killer by gathering clues from newspaper (PDI), the internet (Inquestor Site even friendster!) and even in TV (Inquirer TV c/o ABC 5 ).

If you think na summer means wala ang TG Lifestyle ko well think again coz even in summer we got this oppurtunity to have a variety show not in Cebu but in Leyte kewl! di ba its a 3 days affair meaning I'll be absent for 3 days heheh ok lang I can catch up naman di ba Sir Mandane

May
as books continue to insert on my head so as my sleuthing in discovering who killed Jerson Morales... comes a more intense part! Coz Inquestor goes to Cebu yes!! a jump for joy for me. I can be able to meet the 6 suspects who now become popular as well as Jerson himself. Alas! disappointment changed my happy mood as only the promoter we're only there well at least they are here so what better way to spend my time in Ayala is by helping them promoting the game to our fellow Cebuanos. And what more kewl to end summer is to have a summer get away sa Moalboal thanks for the invite Zyra! its actually Zyra's Post Birthday heheehe
June-

as the Inquestor reached its climatic conclusion... starts the 1st semester of my 2nd year life in the office admin course. New class of friends, enemies and new org I joined in! as the OAd course finally merged with BA so does SOAd with SYBE as I became the accidental PRO of the Org. so thus my 3rd term as the PRO Internal of TG.
July-

In preparation for The 30th Anniv. of USC Theatre Guild, I got the most challenging task in TG its to be part of the business in the field of marketing, finance, house, documentation and publicity. It took a lot of energy and effort to accomplish almost all of it and at the end of the day it was my greatest contribution for the guild.

If you think my task is over think again! The Return of Bakulaw! yeah! I guess the role of Bakulaw was really meant for me after all and to think si Reich unta to para sa 2nd time ng Silangan kaso nga lang he hindi cya nakacommit because of some other responsibilities.

July also ended with a bang an almost a disaster bang when the SYBE Acquaintance Party in Maribago Blue Waters cause a lot of issues and problems which made some of the officers crash down but on the other hand I enjoyed the event since the people really showed a lot of effort to make the party a success.
August

- Midterms exam means cramming time!

USC Foundation Day also kicked off but for me, SYBE - CES launched the Market Exhibit 2005 with all corporations showcased their products. Yep work work work but at least I'm also helping the less fortunate people from Barrio Luz and Saint Arnold Janssen Parish.

And Of Course! Ang Kinaaabangan na Pinoy Big Brother and PBB Uplate na halos kinababaliwan ng lahat ng Pilipino. I met Rico, JB, Racquel, Jenny, Bob, Chix, Sam, Franzen, Say, Uma, Cass, Jason and Nene. kaya mga dude! maki Pinoy Big Brother na hehehe "Pinoy AKo Pinoy tayo! - Orange and Lemons".
September- Happy 30th Anniversary USC-Theatre Guild!!! Need to say more!
October-

Semestral Break Guys! at Oktoberfest na!! And what more to enjoy oktoberfest by drinking a mug of San Miguel Beer but for me why not work at mismong SMB Oktoberfest sa SM Fiesta Strip! It all started when Kuya Alvin, TG Alumni recruited us to be the program committee of the event, we met Kuya March, DJ Iceman and almost everybody who made the event successful, my job? Its actually my debut as a Stage Manager! Whopee! Manage the prizes, invite contestants, even do documentations, check bands status etc etc etcetera and of course the prize for hard work is sweet! As I got a San Mig Bag and sweldo! hehehe
November

2nd Sem strikes! and I'm glad to announce that I am now at my 3rd year in my OAd Curriculum! thanks to my summer class of course :) One of the best job landed in this month when THe 19th Phil. Advertising Congress was held in Cebu and man! it was the best! talaga! With all the new learnings and insights about the world of advertising and of course freebies, freebies and lotsa lotsa freebies sobrang dami parang nagshopping ka literally hehehehe I also met new friends coming from STC, UP, UC and even in La Salle in Manila just to join the best job in Phil. Ad Congress... being a student volunteer yeah!

With choices comes consequences and resposibility because of the said congress, I was absent for almost 2 weeks and thats a big problem... thankfully, my teachers we're really helpful (well not all of them but thanks anyways!). Another is a miss! Since the Philippines hosted the 23rd Sea Games and one of the chosen provinces is Cebu where there is also a need to student volunteer. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join it because if I joined pa I might flunk my subjects and I won't risk it!
December

Naririto na ang paglilitis! "Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio" directed by Loyd Sato which I think the gave impact to audiences and delivered the message of the play very well! Dec 3, 2005 Saturday at CAP! On my view, it was a war in the field the struggle to satisfy our sponsor was our main objective during that time (well magpicture picture sad!) but the weather is really not cooperating that morning becuase it rained hard fortunately, the rain stopped in the afternoon and we we're able to generate sales!

Premidterms attack but I guess the Christmas Vacation Virus infected everyone even the teachers got so excited on the 21st of December and have a vacation.

December also is a historical event for the 1st Pinoy Big Brother Winner, Nene Tamayo!

One of the coolest part of December is of course party! party! Party! (a.k.a. calorie calorie calorie!!! teehee!) One is a sybe Christmas Party wherein we celebrated at the B.A. Dept. yum yum!

Before Classes is over SYBE-CES ask for one last time event Dec. 19, Monday was also a big success as "CES: Forging Partnerships" where in big companies, firms and groups who made partnership with USC are recognized and be appreciated for their service.

And with the end of the Serapio play comes the production party ang saya! coz I consider it the one of the best party of the year!!! The party was help at Villa Teresita even though we encounter a lot of obstacles like being lost and everything we still enjoyed ourselves! We played games (aaaaahhh white team!), eat a lot (I mean pig alot!), swim and exchanged gifts even dance the PBB Theme together ang saya talaga!

If that's not enough another oppurtunity pops in as TG got invited to present a Christmas Presentation in Waterfront on Dec 25 pa dyud! (And to think I won't be back to waterfront after a long time! here comes a play!).

and of course Dec. 25 also calls for a family get together! As we meet my aunts, cousins and uncles and have Christmas Party(not to mention gifts !hehehe)

Haay Grabee the year that was! Indeed 2005 was my year! and sana 2006 would also be my year and y not?! only you can decide whether it'll be or not to be! The will to do it! ika nga :) so to all Have a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!!! : )
