Why do we ask why? Or, why do we asking questions? Why do I want to know the answer to that and other questions?
Most philosophers, from Socrates up through the contemporary period would concur that it is human nature to do so. In fact, it is what sets us apart from every other animal in nature...perhaps because man is the only animal without instinct (we do not demonstrate any unlearned complex behavior).
