Summer Class Crash!

Alright! Summers here now get your pen and notebooks ready its time to go back to school! Yup, you heard me right. If some students are now enjoying their summer vacation. There are also some students who seemed to be early for the first semester and its called Summer Class.

Yeah I know, hearing the word “class” which is a great synonyms for the word “exams”, “quizzes”, “seatwork” and “homework”. Oh, lets not forget waking up.

But why do students have to take summer classes rather than take a summer vacation with your friends and family. Here are the list that I gathered from my dully-extensive research and not to mention being such a grave irritation to my informants, which are my fellow friends and classmates.

· Repeating the subject or Catching up some behind subjects.

If you failed Algebra, Chemistry and other major subjects in the 1st or 2ndsemester. Then a summer class is a highly recommended idea. Since you failed and need to repeat the subject (which we’ll called take 2 or if it’s the second time you failed the subject its take three but if it’s the third time its called perfecting the subject or doctorate the subject!). There’s a 50/50 chance you can pass the subject since it’s the only subject that is needed to repeat and you can concentrate more on the subject.

· Advancing or finishing college as early as the morning bird catches the worm.

You want to graduate on the first semester rather than waiting for the second semester to arrive? Summer classes are one of those advantages by taking advance subject (mostly minor ones). It can lessen your load when you reached the 4th / 5th year level. Thus, putting more concentration on the really should be concentrating subjects.

· 100% Boredom

Tired of being such a sloth in the house? Getting weary of strolling to the mall that you already memorized the whole building of Ayala Canter and SM Cebu? Nothing great to watch on the same formatted television programs especially in the middle of high noon till 5? Getting old of meeting the face of your family members so old that you can predict how many more pimples are going to grow in your sister’s face the following day? You can meet many different people during summer class just like ordinary school days but only meeting different classmates after every subject since you’re a non-block this summer.


· Escape from household chores

If you’re not a couch potato, maybe your one of those substitute household keepers that has the skill, perseverance and patience to clean the entire house (forced by the dear parents/ or conscious with his surroundings). There are some students ended up cleaning for the whole summer vacation, listening to daily sermons from your dearly parents and not taking a piece or bit of relaxation. Sure, they can say its for the contribution for cleaning the house and it’s a way for spending time but doing chores from 8 till 5 in the afternoon is a too much of a contribution. And lastly..

· Allowance keeps continuing the flow!

When classes end and so as your daily, weekly or monthly allowance. In contrast based on my logic subject: NO allowance NO transportation fare, NO transportation fare NO gimmicks ergo, NO gimmicks stay at home and clean up.
Thanks goodness for summer you can save money for more money and maybe you’ll be the next billionaire, or spend as many money you can get from your ever-trusted parents (evil grin). But then wouldn’t it be cool to give your grades to your parents without any one of them failed?



But even thou summer has its own disadvantage and advantages, isn’t good that you’re not taking your education and your future for granted by being aware on where you are heading and doing the best you can to either continue it or prevent it. But most of all wouldn’t it be great you got money for the summer! Hahahhaha… get psyched ladies and gentlemen!!
